Chrollo is patient enough to hold off his question of the useless answer when Duty lifts his hand. The pause and stare after the mention of kidnapping, as if Chrollo is going to protest it, earns a raised eyebrow in response. He is well aware that he's not immune to being stolen away.

Most of the dangers listed seem fairly reasonable, and even those that aren't among dangers Chrollos would anticipate he can see the source of danger.

"Books? Should I watch what I pick up or is it reading them."

Chrollo isn't one to dispute that books are dangerous, especially given his own ability, but if this is something that has happened, he does want to know.
